A message from our Ambassadog Hugo:

Hi I'm Hugo! I love making new friends, and DogFest is paws down my favourite place for socialising with canines.  Even before I’ve left the back seat, the sound of happy barking fills my ears.  It’s not the usual ‘hey get out of my space’ barking, we’re talking hundreds of dogs wagging and sniffing with excitement. Here's me about to meet a new friend!

Why the Breed Meet-Up Challenge?

We heard that there are more than 300 different dog breeds in the UK.  And this year DogFest plans to represent them all!  It being their 10th birthday they're throwing down the gauntlet for a challenge!  In the Best of the Rest category, all dog breeds are invited to join us to find out which DogFest has the most breeds represented. 

What to Love about the DogFest Breed Meet-Up

My favourite thing to do is attend the Breed Meet-Up, where dogs of the same family get together to swap stories.  It’s a good outlet for the paw-rents too, we all know how they love to boast about their fur-ball being the cutest, cleverest or, fastest!  But it's just not possible to have a category for each breed, which is why we're so excited to invite all breeds to join our challenge.

How to Join the Breed Meet-Up Challenge?

I love parties and it’s no party without a game, so make my day and join our parlour game!  

On both days at every festival bring your breeds to the Best of the Rest Category: 

Loseley:

Saturday: 12:30 - 12:50

Sunday: 14:00 - 14:20

All other festivals:

Saturday: 13:30 - 14:00

Sunday:  14:00 - 14:20

Bring your breeds!  Let the lovely DogFest Volunteers count how many different breeds are represented.  We're pitting festival against festival to see who wins! 

On Saturday it’s extra fun because you’ll get to meet our influWOOFers too!   

Who's Invited to the Challenge?

Calling all breeds! Bring your Japanese Spitz; Alaskan Malamuteals; Chihuahuas; Bouvier Des Flandres; Akitas; Afghans; Affenpinschers; Rottweilers; Irish Wolfhounds; Tibetan Terriers; your Chinese crested; your pavement specials; and your mixes and all those breeds I've not mentioned here or in our Breed Meet-Up categories.  I'll be there! I’m a mix - a Poodle-Greyhound cross. But I’m never cross, at least it hasn’t happened yet.  Unless you don’t turn up!  And that’s not a threat, because it’s not in my nature.
