Get ready for a wave of excitement at DogFest.  This autumn we’re bringing the water to you with two thrilling experiences. Catch dog diving and the Newfoundland sea rescue demo. Watch in amazement as dogs defy gravity and get soaked.  And be pulled across the lake after the Manvers Lake-Bears Working Newfoundlands (MLBWN) sea rescue demo.  It’s going to be a splashing good time! Don’t miss out! 

Dog Diving at Ashton Court and Knebworth House

A great activity for water-loving canines! Does your dog loves to take the plunge. The K9 Aqua Sports team will be on hand to help your dog in and out of the pool.  Many dogs love to dive after a ball and play fetch in the water. A great way to strengthen the bond with your dog through play. This activity is very popular, do make sure you pop your name on the list when you arrive at the festival to avoid disappointment.  This activity charges a fee, in partnership with K9 Aqua Sports. It’s a good idea to pop your name on the list as soon as you get to the festival to avoid dissapointment.

Sea Rescue Demo at Harewood House on the lake

Join us on the lake for the Newfoundland Water Rescue Demonstrations. Witness the Power and Grace of Newfoundland Dogs. The Manvers Lake-Bears Working Newfoundlands (MLBWN) are dedicated to preserving the incredible water rescue abilities of this magnificent breed. These devoted dog owners train their Newfoundlands in both water rescue and obedience, ensuring this vital tradition lives on. 

Join us at DogFest Harewood for an unforgettable experience! Watch in awe as MLBWN demonstrate the heroic skills of their Newfoundlands in a simulated sea rescue on the picturesque Harewood Lake. 

After each demonstration, you’re invited on a free boat ride to be towed back to shore by these gentle giants. It’s a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the incredible strength and friendly nature of these extraordinary dogs.

Slash Zone 

If you are concerned about your dog doing another round of the festival circuit let them cool off at one of the various water points.  Our splash zones are dotted around the festival where little pools await for them to paddle in!  Some of our splash zones even sport a sprinkler or two! There are also water points at all the toilet areas for you to fill your water bottles.
