DogFest is the event for dog lovers. Think dogs of all shapes and sizes, live music, food, entertainment, the list goes on! What more could you want? While you’re out there soaking up the day, you’ll want to make sure your four-legged mate is having just as much of a blast!

We want to ensure you and your dog are living your best lives with us.

Make sure your dog’s ID game is strong

Unsupervised dogs will be given an espresso and a puppy friend to take home!

We’re joking of course, but please make sure your dog can be easily identified if they decide to go on a little adventure!

An ID tag is a must, a harness is a good shout too – it’s safer and more comfortable, especially during all those playful moments they’re bound to want to have.

Pack the essentials

We all know that preparation is key, and while there is plenty on offer to ensure you’re not caught short, having your own essentials at the ready will ensure smooth sailing for you both.

Better to have too many poo bags than not enough, right?

Lead and poo bags: Always keep your dog on a lead while moving around and bring plenty of poo bags for the day. It’s not glamorous, but it’s essential!
Water: Hydration is key for both of you, especially in the summer sunshine. We’ve found that portable water bowls are a good thing to have on hand and they’re great for taking on the Big Dog Walk too!
Treats: Reward your dog for being such a good sport throughout the day! Treats will come in handy for all the fun activities like the Dogstacle Course and Canine Dip & Dive too.

Take frequent breaks (for both of you!)

DogFest is a whirlwind of excitement, but even the most energetic pups need time to recharge their batteries. Your dog might be meeting lots of new friends, so make sure to take breaks throughout the day to let them relax, have a drink and enjoy a little downtime. You might like to do the same too!

A rested dog is a happy dog!

Making friends

DogFest is a dream come true for dogs, but not every dog wants to make new friends right away. Be considerate of other owners and always ask before letting your dog interact. Some pups might prefer to enjoy the event solo, and that’s totally fine too!

Volunteers

Our amazing volunteers will be everywhere at the event ready to answer any questions you may have, from ‘where can I find a plaster’ to ‘which is the best food stand for lunch’.

Showtime! The big day arrives! Let your dog enjoy the day

Our goal is to make it a fun and safe experience for both you and your four-legged friend – keep them comfy, hydrated, happy, and you’ll both leave with a big smile on your face. So, pack your essentials and enjoy the activities. Your dog’s best day ever is waiting at DogFest
