If you have been to DogFest over the last few years, you will have seen our charity partner, Dogs Trust, painting the festival yellow with their Dogs Trust Village – however, now they have an award for it!
The charity’s Village, which attends each of our DogFest events across the UK, was nominated as Best Supporter Experience at the National Fundraising Awards this summer – and we are delighted to say they won!
The Dogs Trust Village was created by the charity as an all-encompassing mobile supporter experience, which could go out into dog-loving communities to deliver three core areas:
- Showcase the different elements of the charity’s work and brand
- Deliver welfare services and drive sign ups
- Build their supporter base through delivering an immersive experience.

As a result, they have been able to deliver and build on all of these areas, exposing their brand and work to more than 188,000 people over the last two years, signing up more than 5,500 new supporters, as well as generating fundraising income for the charity. Plus, of course, they have had the pleasure of meeting tens of thousands of fabulous dogs (a number of which are ex-Dogs Trust residents) in a fun environment – what’s not to love?!
And with two DogFests still to go this year, you can see for yourself why they are an award-winning team – just head over to the Dogs Trust Village at Harewood and Knebworth to find out more about the charity, rehoming, volunteering and fostering. Plus, let your dog have a go in their enrichment garden and spin your luck in the Wheel of Pawtune.
You can also pop over to Dog School, next to the Dogs Trust Village, where the charity will be running taster sessions – the perfect opportunity to pick up some top tips and skills for you and your pooch.
We look forward to seeing you there!
