THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! With DogFest season just around the corner, it’s time to start getting excited and planning your ulti-mutt day out with us. If you have any questions ahead of the big day, this blog should answer them for you!
CAN I COME EVEN IF I DON’T HAVE A DOG?
Aslong as you are a dog-lover, you are invited! You absolutely do not need a dog to attend, but just be aware that many of the have-a-go activities are design to take part with your dog. But there is still plenty of things to watch, lots of food and drink to enjoy, and thousands of dogs to see!
OPENING TIMES:
Our gates open at 9.30 and close at 5, but you can come and join us whenever you like. If you need to leave the festival at any point during the day and want to re-enter, be sure to get a stamp on your exit!
DO YOU HAVE WATER RE-FILL POINTS?
To reduce the amount of plastic wasted at DogFest we have provided water points onsite for you to fill your bottles and provide your pooches with a much-needed drink. Be sure to bring your reusable bottles with you!
HOW MUCH IS IT TO TAKE PART IN THE ACTIVITIES?
Most have-a-go activities are free, however some may incur a cost on the day, including Dog Diving and Fun Dog Show. You can view the full list of activities here.
DO YOU HAVE A VIP EXPERIENCE?
Yes! Our V.I.Pooch Experience is perfect for you dog-lovers who want to have an even more special day. You can find out more about our V.I.P package here.
ARE THERE ANY SHADED AREAS?
Yes, there are tented areas for dogs and their owners to rest and take cover in case of extreme hot or wet weather.
Visitors should make extra provisions for any weather eventuality as although we’d love to have sunshine we cannot guarantee this due to the great British weather! DogFest advises bringing provisions from wellies to sun cream, blankets to waterproofs for sun, rain, wind and cold weather.
CAN I BRING SOMETHING TO EAT AND DRINK?
Yes, you can bring your own food and drink to the venue. There will also be a number of catering options at DogFest; from teas and coffees, to a light lunch, cakes and ice-cream.
DO YOU OFFER FREE CARER TICKETS?
Yes, visitors who are registered as disabled who purchase a disabled ticket will automatically be provided with a free ticket to bring along a carer with their order.
IS YOUR FESTIVAL ACCESSIBLE?
Due to the nature, layout and venue of this event, it is not advertised as being easily accessible. The terrain is bumpy, and the grass can be long due to the time of year. We strongly recommend that an able-bodied carer or personal assistant accompany those who require assistance.
HOW MUCH IS PARKING?
For all DogFest locations except Tatton Park, Cheshire there is a £5 vehicle entry fee, and disabled parking is available for £2.50.
